About MVK State Board
Maruthi Vidya Kendra - SS Puram (State Syllabus) has been part of Tumkur’s educational landscape for 40 years. The school began with a simple idea: to give every child in the community access to a good education, guided by strong values and caring teachers.
It was founded by Late Shri K. Venkataramaiah, one of Tumkur’s most respected teachers. After retiring, he opened the school in his own home, with just a few children from the neighbourhood. Over time, the school grew, just as those first students grew.
Today, MVK State continues this same mission: to give every child a strong start in life through education.

MVK State Board is located in the heart of Tumkur city — easy to reach for families from across the area. Our campus has recently been renovated, with modern classrooms and updated facilities, while keeping the warm, familiar environment that generations of students remember. This is a place where children feel at home. Many of our students study here from early classes all the way through higher grades, growing up in the same trusted space.
